Shimane madake bamboo and Tosa Japanese paper. This is a handmade product made of pure domestic materials using traditional techniques. The fan paper is painstakingly coated with layers of persimmon tannin, which has been handed down since the Heian period (794-1185), and the more it is used, the more it tastes better. The beautiful luster of the persimmon tannin fan paper and the bamboo shaft with foil maki-e applied by a foil craftsman give it a Japanese “iki” (style) feel. The result is a beautiful fan that can also be used as a decorative fan. 

The bamboo shaft is delicately decorated with shimmering ripples, and the floating gold and silver carp are lively and beautiful.
